Protein A

Protein A – Affinity Chromatography for Antibody Purification

Overview

Protein A bonded phase is designed for targeted binding and purification of IgG and monoclonal antibodies.

Protein A (Affinity) – Specialty affinity phase with Protein A ligand immobilized on the non-porous particles. Designed for rapid capture and quantification of antibodies (e.g. monoclonal antibody titer analysis) with high capacity and no pore diffusion limitations, enabling fast bioassays.

Key Properties

  • Separation Mechanism: Biological affinity interaction between Protein A and Fc region of antibodies.
  • pH Range: pH 3–9 (stable under typical elution and regeneration conditions)
  • Carbon Load: Not applicable
  • Endcapping: Not applicable

Performance & Benefits

High-purity monoclonal antibody recovery.

Minimal non-specific binding.

Fast and scalable for analytical and preparative workflows.

Recommended Application

  • Antibody purification and titer determination
  • Biopharmaceutical QC
